BreastIT was founded in 2014,September by two Computer Scientists who were looking for an easy way to screen for breast cancer.
Turn on the probe, then pair it with the phone / tablet's wifi.
Open the app and follow the instructions to start screening.
Hover the probe over the breast taking images from various angles while adjusting the gain.
The data is sent to the phone via wifi and image analysis by our machine learning algorithm takes charge.
Our Artificial Intelligence algorithms analyze the information to information to create an evaluation in a matter of minutes
Incase a risk is detected, breastIT provides you with a plan of action to put you in contact with a doctor in order to perform necessary clinical analysis
Diagnosis is usually done by a doctor after performing an appropriate clinical analysis and all we do is a thorough evaluation

Even though the additional users would not have to pay for the device, they would have to pay for a monthly membership for the use of the mobile application, data storage and personalized medical attention

The results are usually analysed by an algorithm inside the mobile application instantly, and if need be, can be sent to radiologists via a cloud system for a consultancy in under a week. Screening for breast cancer patients is thus cheaper and more accessible
Additionally, we help in managing the unbelievable fear of breast cancer scare by concealing the results and offering support towards treatment through partnerships with cancer institutes. There’s also a referral strategy with breast cancer support organizations that help in giving tips to overcoming the fear towards this silent killer As breast IT accelerates the rate of early breast cancer detection, its primary impact is increasing the survival rate of women who live with the condition. The portability of the device means that especially women in poor and rural areas are able to benefit from the technology. The team has high ambitions, of launching their product worldwide and then use the data collected to support academic research of breast cancer The team further aims to increase the number of women being screened for breast cancer in Uganda by 30% within 7 years. The impact of the team is underpinned by a dual philosophy of maintaining the affordability and portability of their product, to allow continued ease of use and access breastIT does not replace mammography, it is a complementary tool that professionalizes the auto-examination of the breasts made available for women from the age of 25 years on. It is a safe and reliable method to monitor the health of your breasts
